Ten projects start on paper. These are the sheets I keep for myself — an oil painting of the Shanghai river at night, a pencil study of Pudong, and the measured drawings from the Notre Dame architecture camp. Nothing here is rendered; every line was drawn by hand.

The same method runs through the ten projects: draw the site, draw the precedent, draw the section, and only then build the model. The drawings here are the part of that loop that never makes it onto a project page.
